Attorneys deliver opening statements in Renisha McBride case

The trial of a Michigan man charged with fatally shooting an unarmed teenager on his front porch as she sought help after a car crash is underway in Detroit.
Theodore Wafer, 55, charged with second-degree murder, claims he feared for his life when he shot 19-year-old Renisha McBride.
In opening statements Wednesday, prosecutors said McBride went knocking on Wafer’s house after wrecking her car in the wee hours of the morning, and even though tests after her death showed her blood alcohol well above the legal limit, Wafer overreacted.
